Well, the year is 2024 and I started my own blog, 25 years later after it was a cool! How fitting (and delightfully ironic) that I’m kicking things off on April 4th, a date that mirrors the infamous HTTP 404 error. For those of us entwined with the web’s intricate threads, it’s a symbolic nod to the quirks and ‘not found’ dead-ends we’ve all faced while navigating the digital world.

In the spirit of discovery (and a bit of digital mischief), I’m going to write about things that interest me, in no particular order: XMPP, Internet, Bitcoin, Cryptocurrencies, Messaging, Encryption and other tech stuff.

Pale Blue Dot

The blog name, PaleBlueDot.link, is inspired by the famous “Pale Blue Dot” photograph taken by Voyager 1. This image, showing Earth as a tiny speck amidst the vastness of space, serves as a humble reminder of our planet’s place in the universe. It underlines the ethos of this blog: exploring the realms of technology and how they shape our world, all while keeping a grounded perspective on the bigger picture.
